Reflections:
Ability is always either limited or empowered by the will to wield it. In this case, many in my race had great ability but lacked the will to manipulate it at the proper time. Others knew their ability and manipulated it appropriately. Q always talks about "trusting our fitness." Setting achievable goals is important so that when the time comes to perform, we can trust that we are physically able to do so. All that is required then is the will to act.
I knew my ability and therefore believed my potential. However, I feared the results, whether good or bad, and in that manner, failed to trust in both the fitness I have and the grace of God to allow it. The race was not special by any drastic degree. I failed to act when the time came, and those who saw the opportunity had success. They raced well and their fitness was strong, nobody will deny that.
As for us, our time is nearing its end, and realistically speaking, almost all of our collegiate opportunities have come and gone. Even so, it is not over yet.
